One point off the podium: Elvstrøm crew took 4th in the Danish J/70 Nationals

The J/70 Class is growing rapidly at the moment, and the Danish nationals in the beginning of October proved how strong the class is on danish waters, too. 38 boats and 150 sailors from a total of four nations entered the event.
This made for close battles throughout, and "our" Elvstrøm Sails crew on 4 Joy with Lars Thiellesen, Thomas Nathan, Karl Otto Book and Carsten Madsen onboard almost made it to the podium in the Danish championship. Only 1.5 point seperated 3rd, 4th and 5th in the standings, and on the last leg, the crew from Rascal made their way to the podium with a total of 49.0 points, while 4 Joy crewed by skipper Lars Thiellesen had to settle for 4th with a total score of 50 points.
The J/70 DM attracted boats from four nations, and it ended with an overall win for the swedish crew on Team Pro4U led by skipper Patrik Forsgren, while the danish championship was won by Team Bandholm with skipper Bo Schülein and his crew from Kjøbenhavns Amatør-Sejlklub.
The event was held by Københavns Amatør Sejlklub, KAS Racing.
