Contessa 32 Nationals Portsmouth UK

From 28 until 30th of September team Lecas sailed the Contessa 32 Nationals on the Solent, hosted by the Portsmouth Sailing club. 6 Races were sailed under perfect sailing conditions.

After a slow start the team managed to increase the boat speed and smoothen the manoeuvres to get the boat on its target speeds. That resulted in a double bullet and twice a third place with a well deserved second place overall.  The whole weekend was signed with a lot of close racing until the final race. Boats 1 to 5 finished within 5 points of each other.

On Lecas we tested our brand new S-2 spinnaker made out of Superkote 75 with a modified design.  We increased the area in the shoulders to push the boat even harder dead down-wind. Our upwind speed was delivered by our EPEX membranes with a single taffeta who are now used for more than 4 years.

Many thanks to the owners, Barbara and Christophe who are looking after there 37 years old boat like it is a new one and a special thanks to the crew who did a fantastic job!
