Marin Code - Permanent Hoist

The UV-protected Code Permanent hoist is part of the “Code” family, but especially designed to stay up and ready for use all the time! The sail can be hoisted in the harbor and can then be left up all day long, overnight and even for weeks while on your way.
Maximum power, but at the same time are looking for extremely easy handling while at sea.

The sail has a high clew for better downwind performance and visibility at sea. The sail is used on an AT cable and the furling system is bottom/up. The bottom/up system means that the sail is furled from the bottom and up and therefore reacts immediately when you pull the furler line. Due to the somewhat stiffer material the sail will stay compact and tight when furled in and not in use!

Material

The sail cloth is designed especially for the Code Permanent Hoist, and is a Polyester Ripstop weave reinforced by adding a polyester scrim and a single sided film. The single sided film keeps the laminate “open” and “breathable”. The UV-protection used for this sail is our Solartex adhesive UV guard, which is added on the film side of the sail.Marin Code Permanent Hoist graphic

    Light Spinnaker

The light Cruising Spinnaker is an all-round spinnaker with less leech and foot roach, to make the sail more stable (easy sailing).

Can be used at angles from 120-170° TWA. Perfect together with our Spisock ( Snuffer) for easy and safe handling.

    TWA: 120-170°
    TWS: 4-24 kn
  • Heavy Spinnaker

    Heavy Spinnaker

The heavy Cruising Spinnaker is like the light spinnaker. Can however be used in more wind.

  • Gennaker

    Gennaker

The Cruising Gennaker is close to the A2 but with less roach in luff and leech, to make the sail more stable (easy sailing).

Can be used at angles from 130-165° TWA. Perfect together with our Spisock (Snuffer) for easy and safe handling.

    TWA: 130-165°
    TWS: 4-24 kn
  • Furlstrøm XL

    Furlstrøm XL

The Furlstrøm XL is a Gennaker that furl s around a loose anti-torsion cable. It furls from the top and down.

    TWA: 130-165°
    TWS: 10-24 kn
  • Blue Water Runner

    Blue Water Runner

The Blue Water Runner is a twin furling downwind sail, which is easy to furl away from the safety of the cockpit. The sail is a 3-in-1 solution, working not only as a twin furling downwind-runner, but also as an ultra-light genoa and a reacher.

In downwind mode the sail can be used at angles from TWA 140-180° and in reaching mode in TWA 60-135°.

Please note that you are not able to colour this sail – contact your local Elvstrøm Sails dealer for more info on this sail.

    TWA downwind: 140-180°
    TWA reaching: 60-135

Ever tried designing your own spinnaker or gennaker? Well, here's your chance!

Simply select boat size, sail purpose and sail type and you are all set to colour your own symmetric or assymetric downwind sail! Once you are done and happy with the result save it by sending the layout by e-mail or request a quote. The number of panels varies according to the size of your sail and the colours in your computer layout may may differ slightly from the "real life" spinnaker colours.

Enjoy!
