In 2023, Martin and Maiken joined by their two kids, Paja and Una, set sails for the big adventure with their boat, Skjoldmøen.
The Danish family of four had worked for years to fulfill their dream of sailing the world for three years. In June 2023, they embarked on the journey of a lifetime and set course for the open seas.
It was the culmination of a dream which seemed almost impossible for years, but they made it happen and they are currently sailing under the power of Elvstrøm Sails in French Polynesia.
Skjoldmøen had a full new wardrobe made ahead of the departure and runs a set of sails based on the Hydranet 480. This includes a radial mainsail with three reefs plus genoas and a jib, all done by Elvstrøm Sails Øst in Nivå.
