What is a blue water runner?

Blue Water.... Is probably the most relaxed way to cover a lot of miles. Also known as downwind sailing, champagne sailing or whatever you prefer to name it, this is just having the wind in from the back of the boat and you are just cruising in every sense of the word.

And this is where we have a solution to make things even easier: The Blue Water Runner. Blue Water Runner is tailored for sailors who embark on long-distance voyages, prioritising ease of handling and versatility in a variety of wind conditions thanks to its ability to cover a broad spectrum of wind angles.

The idea of the BWR is to make a versatile sail, which combines the features of a light genoa, a reacher and a twin furling runner into one sail - all featuring easier handling which makes it a great choice for shorthanded sailing, too.

It's constructed from our light spi polyester cloth and features a crosscut layout.

It is recommended for a wind range from 135 to 180 degrees AWA.
