Silverrudder 2015

Silverrudder™ – Challenge of the Sea - is an annual singlehanded race around Funen (Fyn), Denmark.  A one man show with no real rules. Just win! This year from Friday 28 August to Sunday 30 August.

The race was first launched in 2012 with 15 contestants. This year in 2015 approx. 250 brave sailors took part in what is now called the biggest single-hand race in the world. As the number of contestants increase, the competition is also getting tougher. But the challenge is still the same: 134 Nautic Miles around Funen – you and your boat!  The race constitutes of 7 classes with one winner of  the Silverrudder Challenge Trohpee in each class.

Congrats to all you brave sailors. In top 15 in the Keelboat Large class you´ll find 4 boats entirely powered byElvstrøm Sails, that is: William Friis-Møller - Mandalay, Karl Dehler - Sporthotel, Henrik Boye Petersen - Legolas - Niels Nørgaard Pedersen - Ventoux.
